The New Teen’s Key Volunteer Training Program Kicks Off
The new Teen’s Key Volunteer Training Program has officially started. This training covers topics such as comprehensive sexuality education, young women involved in sex industry, and young mothers supporting service. Volunteers will be able to participate in at-risk young girls outreaching, school-based sex education workshops, and young mothers activities. We look forward to walking with more passionate people on the journey of empowering young women!
In the first two sessions, our soon-to-be volunteers showed strong gender awareness—reminding us how powerful it is to stand together. As we explored why some Teen’s Key girls enter the sex industry, many participants were shocked to hear real stories—like a teen facing economic hardship or another who did not know about applying for grant loan, or even one who struggled with self-harm. Shaped by media and culture narratives, society often views the sex industry through stereotypes. Each girl’s situation is different and deserves understanding, not judgment.
This is why we want to welcome more new members to our volunteer team. Through training, participants will gain insight into our service approach and the needs of at-risk young girls. Let us support young women with a non-judgmental mindset.
