Sadly, the world is not as safe for young women as we would want it to be. There are not enough safe spaces for vulnerable young women to turn to in times of crisis, and without the right support, they’re at risk of being further marginalized, unseen, and misled.

FOUNDER'S MESSAGE

A decade ago, Teen’s Key was born from the dream of a 24-year-old young woman, fueled by nothing more than a vision and a strong belief that all young women should be safe and able to achieve their full potential. Starting with just a small desk in a co-working space, that vision has grown into the leading charity in Hong Kong exclusively dedicated to supporting young women.

Today, our team has expanded to 10+ passionate individuals who work tirelessly to provide critical services to over 20,000 young women in Hong Kong. We are profoundly grateful for your support, as every contribution brings us one step closer to creating a safer world where all young women can thrive. Together, we can continue to empower young women, enabling them to create positive change in their communities.

What is Teen's Key?
Teen’s Key is a nonprofit organization committed to helping young women — no matter their situation or circumstance — gain access to information, essential services, and support they need. We focus on addressing young women’s sexual and reproductive health, and to providing holistic treatment for young women in crisis, including those who work in the sex industry. We provide a safe space where young women can realize their potential and where new hope can be formed.
Tell us the mission of Teen's Key.
Established in 2011, Teen's Key Hong Kong is the first recognized young women-led charitable institution under S88 of the IRD (#91/14605), we are also a member of the Hong Kong Council of Social Services. Our mission is to fill the gap with a focus on addressing young women's sexual and reproductive health, and to provide holistic treatment for them, taking them from crisis to better lives.
What about Teen's Key Vision?
Teen's Key is dedicated to establishing judgment-free safe spaces and providing holistic crisis intervention to help young women rediscover their self-worth and embark on a new chapter in life. We aspire for all young women in Hong Kong to be empowered to reconnect with their dreams and aspirations.
How does Teen's Key help and support these young women?
Teen’s Key provides a safe space for young women in crisis to receive non-judgemental and holistic support. Through community outreach, intervention & prevention programs, a developmental support series, and a peer-to-peer Young Mothers’ Club (and more), Teen’s Key aims to reach and empower vulnerable young women to become independent, so they can build a new phase of their lives. Teen’s Key also conducts joint research with other non-profit organizations to raise public awareness on the rights of young women, also young female sex workers on sexual reproductive health matters.
Do you know this fact about Teen's Key?
We never call the young women we help victims. Why? Because everyone can have the opportunity to reinterpret their own life. What we see is that they have the ability to deal with scars, are strong and flexible! Our goal is to change the label of "#victim" and provide young women with comprehensive sexual health knowledge and support to help them overcome crises, learn to bravely protect themselves, and start a new beginning.
