The reasons why young girls engage in sex work include poverty, peer influence, and sexual curiosity. They have different needs in body, mind, education and career planning. Qingyue’s survey found that 27% of girls working in the sex industry chose to stay in the industry because they have a certain degree of debt. Among them, because'Mamasans' (intermediaries) will borrow money from them, they are very attractive to some young girls who are vulnerable or in danger.
Qingyue believes that all young girls have great potential, but some young girls will be difficult to change because of past events or their own experiences.
